We just enjoyed our first meal at Evie Mae's Pit Barbecue at Miramar Beach, FL. We will definitely be going back before we return home to N. Alabama. The chicken is moist and so tender with a delicious smoky flavor. The sides are incredible! We tried the baked potato casserole (Wow!), smoked BBQ beans, green chile creamed corn, and cornbread and they were all so delicious! With very little room for dessert after all the large helpings, we still had to try the coconut and strawberry pies. Outstanding desserts! The staff worked together like a well-oiled machine, friendly, patient and efficient. We know good BBQ restaurants in North Alabama, but Evie Mae's is a notch above. This is a restaurant you want to put at the top of your list when visiting the Destin Florida area!

I can’t say enough about this place. THANK YOU Evie Mae’s for the amazing, gluten free food. Having Celiac disease, it is not often I walk into a place and immediately see a bakery case full of gluten free desserts. The coconut cream pie and key lime pie was to die for. I was even able to have the cornbread. We stopped here twice during vacation and I of course had to purchase a t-shirt before our trip back home. Also, highly recommend sitting outside so you can watch the fish and turtles below!

My husband has followed the Texas monthly for years now … in search of the ultimate best barbecue. Well, one of them is Evia Mae’s. The original location is in Lubbock Texas. Just ten miles from our Inn in Destin Florida was another Evia Maes amazing barbecue restaurant. There are no down sides to this restaurant, literally!! 1.) The brisket >>>The BEST ever. You can’t hardly lift up to make sandwich before it falls 2.) the ribs>>>> cooked to perfection ( not to smoky ) which is great. 3.) service >>> friendly, helpful and knowledgeable I HIGHLY recommend this eaterie the next time you crave a Texas style dinner

This place was great and tasted awesome with the variety of sauces to choose from. Chopped brisket sandwich was great along with the jalapeño cornbread and potato salad. Best part of all is the quality and so much of it being gluten free such as the coconut cream pie and many of the sides. Just expensive as per usual with bbq but that’s to be expected

Lots of space for big groups, and super fast service. Love having pickles and jalapeños to dress the sandwiches, and the iced tea is very good. We had the pulled pork, and enjoyed the different sauces. The baked beans are loaded with pork, and the collards are fresh and delicious. The desserts look amazing, but there was just no room left for a whisper more of food. Can't wait to come back!
